Great place to go camping and hiking... The firewood dispenser is all electronic locker with 24/7 service which is really nice. The sky is very clear at night. They're really sticklers about noise complaints though. So make sure you follow those rules. It's a very huge area with horse trails and ATV trails .

The campsites are nice with trees separating the lots, the privacy is nice. The parking in the sites is gravel and fairly level, the rest of the fairly large site is grass with a table and fire pit. There is a dump site and potable water available as well as firewood. This seems to be typical of the Wisconsin State Park system. We’ve been in several and they all seem to have the same amenities. Generally very nice places to camp.

i love this campground, been going since i was a kid and now my kids take the grandkids out there!! there is plenty to do during the day from hiking,swimming,fishing,playgrounds,model rocket area,atv area,horse riding trails. all camp sites have firepits so its relaxing to sit around the fire at night and make smores.bathrooms are always clean and the showers are too.i hope my grandkids will be keeping the tradition going for generations to come.also a good place to take nature photos and on clear nights a good plaxe for stargazers and meteor chasers!!

My son and I went there to check out the ATV trails. They have 2 small loops. That was fine for us because we were first-timers. Trails were one way. The signs for loop 2 must have been down because it was not clearly marked when when we were on it. It is a very flat trail system that winds through a prairie with tall grasses. Trails were dry, rocky, and dusty when we were there. There are not a lot of places in southeastern wisconsin to ride, so it's nice that this exists. I'm glad we went to go check it out and had a good time. That's said, I would be hesitant to make the 40+ minute trip again only because the trail system is very small.

We had a morning hike through the orange trail (6.4 miles). Wide, groomed walking trail, rest facilities, and ample parking. The slopes are mostly gentle, so it wasn't exhausting. Saw plenty of birds and other animals!
