This was my first time camping at this park. It is a nice park with plenty of amenities and things to do. The lake was quite active with boaters fishing and tubing. The side opposite of the state park are Lake houses and it was a busy holiday weekend when I stayed. I like the layout of the campground. Things were spaced out nicely.

Great state park location (there is a fee to get in) probably one of my favorite for swimming in the kettle moraine the beach area is great they have plenty of picnic tables , bathrooms and BBQs free to use the beach did have some weeds on the water not horrible but noticeable, not many trails but plenty of opportunities for walking/hiking the good part would be for the biking path highly recommended, plenty of parking spots too and great little town of Dundee near by . The camping area was great too big lots ample parking ,lots of mosquitos (expected just fyi) the spot I was wasn't a quiet area so some neighbors where loud (didn't bother me just fyi) late into the night just having a good time. All in all a great part of the kettle moraine with beach access.

Not bad but not enough for 4 or 5 stars. Southern unit of Kettle Moraine is better. There was a small visitors center that did not seem to have much unlike the big nice one at Southern unit. There were nit many trails at this location and because of rain we had to leave early before getting to them. The map shows toilets but they are kind of hidden from view. Our site was very muddy to begin with but was manageable. It became harder to deal with the morning it rained and we became water logged. The fire pit was ok save for it being a bit small and the cooking grate was bent, not easy to use, and small also. Furthermore, the entry to the site was angled opposite to the direction of traffic which weird. What was nice is they had ice and firewood that took cards. The beach was pretty and large but had a lot of seaweed on the perimeter. The property seemed really disjointed and spread out. The toilets were fine and not far off but typical pit ones with strange bugs. Never got to try the showers. Also the freshwater spigot had a weird tick to it so be careful! Staff was friendly and helpful though.
