Avoid this campground if you're smart. We recently stayed in site 47, which was an RV super site. The campground is cramped for space, and parking is often an issue. The management recently changed their policies on allowing projector screens, which I was told they had received numerous complaints about previously when I inquired why. Never mind that when I paid for the reservation almost a year in advance, that wasn't the policy. They also changed their quiet hours, which now begin at 9:30 pm as opposed to 10 pm like it used to be and like most other RV campgrounds. A 9:30 pm quiet hours start time in the summer months is ridiculous. This place has lost their mind. It used to be a family friendly place that we've visited for the past four years but now I can't help but feel like they are catering to older, uptight folks who don't want children, noise, or light after it gets dark. Part of the fun of camping for our family is letting the kids watch a movie on the projector outside of our trailer at night, and we've always been respectful of our neighbors and campground quiet hours. These new Draconian policies are too much for me. For what they charge, there are better options nearby. We will miss the trees and river access, but unfortunately, we will not be going back to this campground unless they change their ridiculous policies.

First off, this is a very pretty area with huge redwoods. What the online pictures don’t show for Santa Cruz Redwoods RV park is that you are jammed in here and it is extremely tight to get into your site. Two other campers were nice enough to move their big trucks. We paid about 9 months ahead for a “super site” and although once we finally got backed in it was spacious, there was a small van conversion camper that shared a portion of our site. So weird. We were in 49 and neighbors said that small stupid space 50, was supposed to be going away soon. It is noisy here. As expected with kids out for summer having a great time. A lot of barking dogs due to how close the sites are. It is pretty but we won’t be back here again. Just extremely hard to park but we are still married. Haha

I took my family camping for what was supposed to be a great weekend. We brought two small tents for the four of us, not realizing the site allowed only one tent per spot. After setting up, the manager demanded we take down one tent and squeeze our family of four plus a dog into a two-person tent or buy a larger tent, even though a larger tent would take up the same space. I explained that we had small children who needed the room, but she refused to accommodate us. This was the worst campground experience we've ever had, and it’s clear the management failed to consider our situation.

The place itself is fantastic. Clean bathrooms, no coin showers that are very hot, great river access. The staff is wonderful too. What killed it for us is the host doesn't enforce quiet time. Loud music and partying is totally fine and fun at larger campgrounds but this one is way too small for it. I just wanted to warn anyone who that might be an issue for.

One of the best Rv parks we have ever stayed at. Majestic location in an old growth redwoods forest on the San Lorenzo River. Park is very clean and well managed. There were no quiet time issues during our four nights stay last week. It was strictly enforced. So much to do in the greater Santa Cruz mountains and beach areas.
