In June we got married here and I wanted to share details for others that are interested in having a wedding here too. I called in to make the reservation 6 months in advance but depending on the time of year, it might be best to call in earlier. We had the ceremony at 2pm at the Peterson Grove. We managed to seat 80 people and had the bridal party of 15 standing. It was a bit tight but we made it work for the 25 minute ceremony. We held the reception in the Sequoia Group area. We hired a caterer, decorator and dj. The area only comes with the picnic tables and power outlets. The restrooms are nearby and are kept clean but are open for the public to use as well. We prepaid the parking tickets for our guests. We walked around the nearby trails to get some photos under the trees. The one downfall is that the park closes at sunset. For this time of year, we had to be cleaned up and out of the gate around 8-8:30pm. Overall, I definitely would recommend!

My family found this gem not far from town. Enjoyed the redwoods, the easy hikes and best of all my dog got to go with us. There were some loud noises near the playground that's out of place for this peaceful park but oh well they exist everywhere.

It is a pure oxygen bar! We loved it. There are multiple trails you can choose depending on your time and hiking challenge levels. The ranger we encountered was friendly and helpful. All the stress accumulated in a week was gone after we walked out of the woods. It’s a blessing we have the park here.

We reserved a spot at a walk-in campground. Parked the car in the parking lot and used a cart to offload our gear to the reserved campsite. The campsites were nicely spaced out, offering plenty of privacy. There are many nearby trails surrounded with many trees. Plus it’s not crowded or noisy at all. Highly recommend! Restrooms were clean. Check in at 3pm for camping. No need to pay extra $6 vehicle fee at entrance if already paid for camping reservation.
