3 day/2 night backpacking trip. It was unseasonably cool for a late July weekend. Set camp at Skeels Meadow both nights. Very serene stay. Lots of water at Coyote Creek and at all springs along the way. Summitted Mt. Sizer late AM and it was already quite hot. Coe seems to prefer long, steep slopes over switchbacks in the north-western part of the park so get good at the stairmaster. All in all it was a great trip.

Had been here to view the Perseid meteor shower and it didn’t disappoint! The park is open 24 hours and has plenty of parking near the visitor center. Planning to go sometime in the day in to hike the trails in the park.

It was a cloudy and cold day in the Southern Bay Area, so we decided to go hiking. When we drove up the mountain, the sun was shining brightly, and the mountains in the distance were shrouded in clouds and mist. It looked very beautiful. We had a wonderful afternoon hiking here, and it was very relaxing. We like it here.

A relaxing but full of energy trail in the beautiful weather. Not hard yet challenging enough to enjoy the nature. Along the trail with trees and flowers to breathe the fresh air. A four hours round trip without too much resting area while a nice frog lake to stop by. Also saw the bikers as well as seasoned backpackers during the trail. No dogs. Fees required. Not crowded.
