Amazing views on clear days. There are plenty of different hiking/biking trails for you to enjoy. Can get windy times but with a jacket you will be fine. Has a cute little restaurant to grab a quick bite and bike rentals for you to enjoy the island. They have various working bathrooms all over the island that are well maintained. Has a handful of moring balls for boats to hook up to as well. Great for a day trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This island is a very beautiful and big island. I camped here for one night and here are some facts/points on the island: 1. The views are amazing. At The Batteries, you can see both the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge! 2. It may be cold and foggy sometimes. 3. I biked around the island, not too hard. 4. Can be windy sometimes, so if you’re camping, bring stakes and a mallet! 5. Visit the historic places, as they can hold very interesting info and the history of the island. Overall, this is a must-go island!

This island is a very beautiful place with scenic views of the entire San Francisco Bay, including the Golden Gate Bridge. The island is filled with historic military forts and museums. There are many beautiful hiking trails on the island. The island is accessed by a ferry, either from San Francisco or Tiburon.

This place had beautiful views and so much knowledge of the past. We wish we had more time to do more on the island. Really could do a whole day there. There was a landslide on the south end preventing us from being able to go all around but the tour guide did a great job of backtracking and taking us the other way. Wish we had gotten to go visit the other buildings on the far end away from the doc area.

What a hidden gem! This is a beautiful island with amazing views of nearby places. There is a tram tour that takes you around the whole island and tells you the history of the island. They have a visitors center and other buildings to explore. The best part is you can book a combo tour of this and Alcatraz!
