About This Campsite

Welcome to the Wisconsin State Fair Park, an iconic venue best known for hosting one of the largest annual festivals in the region. This vibrant event is a bustling hub of activity, attracting crowds eager to explore its diverse offerings ranging from culinary delights to thrilling rides. Whether you're planning your visit or just curious about what to expect, here are some tips and highlights that might help: - **Tickets and Entry:** It's wise to purchase your tickets online in advance to avoid long lines and save time. Adult tickets are $17, while youth and seniors enter for $13. - **Parking:** Though parking can be a challenge, especially during peak times, consider looking for local homes offering parking services for around $10-$20 per day, or check for spots in the general parking lot. - **Food and Rides:** The fair is split into two sections—one for food and shops, the other for rides. Foods, especially the famous cream puffs and novel treats like gator legs, are a must-try. Note that prices can be high, so budget accordingly. - **Activities and Shows:** Engage with various shows like the K-9 dog show and pig races that are perfect for family entertainment. - **Comfort Tips:** The fairgrounds can get hot and crowded, so it's a good idea to bring hats or sunglasses for sun protection. Consider packing reusable water bottles as only these are permitted past security. Overall, the Wisconsin State Fair Park offers a rich experience with something for everyone. Whether it's live music, a variety of food options, or exciting rides, there's no shortage of entertainment to enjoy. Just prepare as much as possible in advance for a smooth and memorable visit!

Wisconsin State Fair is one of the biggest annual festivals. There are a ton of people visiting everyday no matter what day it is. So, be prepared crowded people. Buy tickets online in advance is saving your time for being in line. Ticket Fee is $17for adults and $13 for youth and seniors. It has security checks at all gates. Only reusable water bottles are allowed, not a cup of coffee or soda bottles. The fair has 2 sides; one side is mostly food and shops whereas another side is the rides. All the food and rides are quite pricey. There is cream puff which is very popular. I had it last year. It’s not my favorite. It’s just pastry with fresh cream. I didn’t get it this year. We ride gondola. 🚠 It was fun but they don’t allow you to bring water bottle with liquid up there. They will ask you to empty all water from your bottles before riding. There are K-9 dog show, pig race, etc. It’s good for family. Tips: - Most of the shops will not charge for tax if you pay by cash. - There are a lot of people who live around there offering parking. It costs around $10-20 for all day parking. - It’s hot during the day time so bring your hat or sunglasses.

State Fair was such a fun experience... After driving around the neighborhoods and all the parking spots were either FULL or $30+, I was able to find parking in the general parking lot although the website said "sold out" for only $15. We got a nice spot close to the entrance. I do recommend purchasing tickets and ride tickets online before coming because the lines can get pretty long. Food from one end of the fair to another are pretty much the same. The only down side besides not enough seats to rest and shade; the food and drink prices were ridiculously high. Everything else was really pleasant. The staff, the fair goers, the rides, the atmosphere and everything else all made for a great experience..

Nice large park. State fair was well done. Parking was fine. Ticket purchases should have had an express line for online tickets. Having all in the same line didn't make sense. Clean facilities and layout was good. Maybe an online map would make it easier to find certain booths and rides.

It's huge! If it weren't so hot that day I could've easily spent all day there. The prices are typical for any fair. I bought a parking pass in advance with my ticket which was totally worth it. Unfortunately, getting to the lot from the highway was a fiasco. It would also be nice if they had misters for really warm days. There was live music, plenty of clean bathrooms, & good food. So all in all, it was lovely.

1st timer & I had such a great time! There’s so much to do here but so little time, I didn’t realize how much delicious places they have to eat from. Next time I come I’ll have to do more research on places because I was overwhelmed with so much food vendors to try from and every place we had tried was 10/10. Definitely coming back next year. I would recommend everyone to try the gator leg, it’s delicious if your brain can wrap around how it looks. Also the cream puff are MANDATORY‼️
