I visited here for the first time yesterday, it's very beautiful. There was a sign for $5 parking but the gate was closed, there is a small parking lot outside the gate where I parked. No one was there to collect fees, I don't think anyone was paying for parking. Not sure if it's just due to the rain as to why the gate was closed and no one was at the pay station or if it's always that way. There is a house on site that I assume a staff member of the park lives in. There is some graffiti on some of the rocks unfortunately and some trash, but it wasn't terrible. I saw bathrooms on site, but did not use them, so not sure how up kept they are. The river runs through this park, right now it is high and fast moving, be careful. I walked to an end of the park where the river was lower and on warmer days would probably be a nice little spot to get into the water, there were poppies and other wild flowers growing. The mountains surrounding the park are beautiful right now, green with yellow flowers.

Plenty of pictures going on here so you can see its a small river park. There's fishing access and a little wandering area. Down fall to summer here is everything is really dry and yellow. They have some kind of construction going on so the park access is restricted they only have porta potty and they weren't very well kept. I've been coming here since i was 5 years old and this is the worst I've ever seen it. The water runs fast and really cold this time of years making swimming really dangerous so i dont recommend it. I only give it 👍👍👍

Beautiful Easter day to be at Winton Park .my only grip was the port of potty, Yikes it was terrible and disgusting, prior to going I read reviews that the pottys were being used but I figured that was a long time ago and the restrooms would be opened, but no! But besides that ,it was great day. it was nice and green.I will be going over there again.
