A nice quiet campground. Some secluded spots, some open field spots. Bathrooms were great with clean hot showers and was basins for dishes. Camping here allows you to use your pass for parking in town at the gorge visitor center which was nice.

Watkins Glen itself is a very neat place but very busy, be mindful of the crowds while hiking. The campground was nice. Like anywhere the spot you choose matters. Some loops where nicer then others. Overall, I loved the variety of sites here. Some large, some small. Some flat, some very hilly with 10-15 height differences. Overall a good stay. Like most places, depends on your neighbors.

Spacious, pretty private spots. Beautiful park, with wide but steep dog-walking trails along the gorge winding through a forest of oaks, pines and birches. And then there’s the impressive stone path through the gorge itself. No wonder tourists have flocked to this space since the late 19th century. The park is close to the vibrant town of Watkins Glen.

Our campsite was huge! it was close to the restrooms and showers, so I was a little worried about being disturbed at night. I was not at all! The nights were the quietest I've ever heard the forest with so many people in it. The campground was full, but we barely noticed our neighbors because there is still a bit of forest between each campsite. The bathrooms and showers were clean and bright, and well maintained. I will definitely be camping here again!

More open vs having privacy with your neighboring camper, then we are used but we weren't really there during the day so it didn't bother us. Bathroom where well maintained and so we're the sites. Rangers were also super friendly!
