Our family of 5 had a great time in the yurt! Breakfasts and dinners on the back deck right on the lake were great! The bathhouse was always nice and clean, and the pool was a relaxing reprieve from the heat. There’s so much to do around the park! The trails were very nice and easy enough for our 5-yr-old. And the attraction pass gave us almost a full day’s worth of fun things to do, capped off by the awesome laser/drone/fireworks show!

I grew up coming to Stone Mountain and when we learned our granddaughter would be traveling with us this summer, Stone Mountain CG was the first place I booked. The park is great. Hundreds of sites to choose from and a price affordable for almost any budget. The sites are close together but they are well maintained as is the CG itself. We had a back in site near the pool and playground and really enjoyed the shade from the oak in the hot afternoons. The pool was great as well but be warned, it is the only pool for the whole campground so it can get busy. There are plenty of other activities to keep everyone entertained. We always enjoy walking the park and taking in the great views. This does help me pick out our site for our next visit so we make sure to walk the whole park. We had an issue with water pressure while here so I can't give all the hookups great ratings like I normally do. For some reason we would lose pressure between 8-10am at varying lengths of time. Sometime 10 minutes, sometimes over an hour. Maintenance couldn't figure it out so we ran off of our tanks in the mornings. The rest of the connections were fine.

This campground is wonderful. We stay in a full hookup in the red section on the water. The view is beautiful. I highly recommend this campground. We were there a couple Christmas' ago and it was about 9 degrees when we got there. We went through a lot of propane and they could fill the tanks there at the campground, which was very convenient. There is also a Walmart very close.

The camp sites are very small, they have really packed in as many sites as possible. Ours was extremely unlevel so bad we couldn't even use the picnic table. The campground bathrooms were in disrepair and very dirty. One of the guests also must have smoked weed in the ladies bathroom, it reeked. The washer and dryers only take quarters and there is no change machine and 2 of the machines did not work. Dried my towels and they did not finish drying. I had to lay them out to finish drying at our next stop. They have a lot of amenities but the basics are not worth the money. I would skip this and just go to a state park. The laser show and firework show was great. Stone Mountain Park is ok, not worth the money in my opinion. You're better off staying at a state park and just going to the amazing Atlanta Aquarium skipping this all together.

The views of the mountain are gorgeous. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I think our site (348-a pull thru-more like a pull along the side of the road), was in the older section. I would really like to see them improve the roads and the sites in that section. We couldn’t even put our awning out for fear it would get hit by people driving by our site. They did have a pool and a playground that many guests were taking advantage of. Their comfort stations seem to be plentiful. Absolutely loved the geese walking around. We have a 40’ Class A motorhome. We rode around the campground looking at other possible sites should we decide to revisit them again. We did find several that would have accommodated our rig. Our kids enjoyed using their kayaks on the lake, although our boys(15 & 17) were disappointed they did not catch anything. It would be nice if the lake could be stocked, even if they made it catch & release.
