The booth workers and the resources officer were extremely helpful. We ended up having vehicle issues during our 1 night stay. The booth workers gave us some great recommendations for the area on taking my truck to a good ford dealership. The fish and wildlife officer stopped by and was helpful on keeping the camper parked longer than booked. The freeway is noisy, but it’s I-25…..I’m not sure what other people expect there. If you’re stopped near a busy interstate….its gonna be noisy. They had nice trails to walk and I enjoyed watching the Prairie Dogs near the entrance. (I’m from the Midwest and it was my first time seeing them 😊.) The restroom I used was a vault toilet. Compared to the ones I’m used to in Michigan….these were clean and smelled as good as they can. Overall, a great experience and thank you for the help!

The park has a number of ponds for fishing and there are walking trails throughout. There are coverings over the picnic tables which is wonderful. The park is quiet as far as campers but the freeway noise is a negative. The restrooms are clean. Dogs welcome on leash.

St Vrain State Park has a great little Campground with normally a view of the Rocky Mountains. Current view obscured by wildfire smoke/haze. Still a great jumping off place for RMNP, Estes Park, Boulder etc...

It's definitely the least exciting stare park I've been to. We went in March, and while there are a lot of ponds and it would be ideal for people who fish, it's not really ideal for much else. But hey, it's awesome it's an area of nature that's more protected than others. I say more because there was still quite a bit of trash on trails.

Very nice park, with a couple of small lakes. Looks like a good place for dog walking. Nice campsites, some with water and electric, some just electric. 2 dump stations near the entrance and potable water on the island as well.
