Nice campground close to the cities, right by the river. Mostly pretty meticulously maintained. The camp hosts were friendly and introduced themselves immediately once we got to our site to set up. We stayed on one of the few tent only sites, which was ample. Others in our party stayed on the 20 amp sites right next to the tent sites, and still used tents. These cost a bit more but you do have access to electricity which was nice for charging our phones and batteries etc.The amenities were fine, I especially enjoyed the private shower rooms. My one big complaint is the this park (and all Washington Co parks) do not allow dogs. This blows my mind. Our dog is a member of our family and it is unconscionable that she should be prohibited from an OUTDOORS campground, give me a break. Never in a million years would I have chosen to utilize this campground because of this fact, however the trip was planned by a family member who does not have dogs/didn't notice. We had to leave our dog with a family member, and if that had fallen through we would have cancelled. We will not be attending this campground again nor any others in Washington Co unfortunately, due to this lame rule. If someone has a loud dog barking a bunch, sure ask them to leave. If they aren't picking up their dog poop, sure charge their credit card a fee. Something, but don't exclude these beloved furry family members, they want to camp too!

Fantastic park with great parking spaces and great restrooms and wonderful playground equipment for kids. Beach access and boat launch are busy. Many people fishing . Another camping trip this past weekend was again Great! Appears bathrooms showers revamped and better. Had Huge campsite! Great playground and trails the kids loved.

Very nice and clean campground. We hiked hoping to see some nice bluffs but either there isn't any paths in that area, or we didn't see that path. Looks like they're doing some new paths, so we'll be back to check that out. You have to pay to hike fyi. $7

Very nice park for camping off the beaten path. Nice, quiet stay that really got us back in touch with nature. Perfect temperatures the end of July. They have campfire rings at each site, which we used several times. We brought our travel trailer and they provided electric. We did have to use their bathhouse because they didn’t have water on site. Also no cell signal (but I took that as a positive!) Overall a nice time.
