This campground requires a permit to camp here. Go to the website 24 hours (minimum) before you want to stay. We saw there was only 1 permit available and that all the other spots were reserved, but when we got here, we were the only campers. It was $11.50 for one night. There is a flat, gravel surface to set up your tent (it's not huge) and there is running water for cleaning hands, pretty nice bathrooms, a picnic table, and bear-proof bins for your food when you go to bed. The fire pits have been filled in (understandable), but the views are amazing and it's not too far from the West trailhead (that's the one you need to start at). Took us about 45 mins to walk there from the car. Easy walk, too.
