Shady Oaks Camp has given people with disabilities a summer of great fun and memories for over 70 years. My parents were members of the Parents Association for many years, my dad was on the board ( I use to go to meeting with him ) . My dad did printing for the camp & association. My brother attended the camp for over 15 years. He enjoyed being at camp and being by his many friends. My brother was also a resident of the permanent home located by the camp. Shady Oaks gives people with disabilities a chance to experience summer fun. Shady Oaks camp was a blessing to our family years ago, and it continues to be a blessing to others.

Had a lovely time there! They are great for the campers and are doing everything to make sure they have the time of their life. As a counselor it was a once in a lifetime experience. I would surely recommend to go there if you have the chance 😊.

Shady Oaks is a special place for both campers and counselors. As a camper you get to spend a summer surrounded by empathetic people from all over the world who fill your summer with fun activities. And as a counselor you get to spend your summer days filled with laughter and love. You make memories and connections with people, who stays in your life forever.

Although its been a little over 4 years since she moved my best friend Veronica Litteau(on the left) was a resident here. Out of all the assistant living places she was in here in illinois this was her favorite. The staff were beyond amazing. They showed how much they really really cared. She made a lot of friends here. This photo was from her last birthday in illinois before she had to move to Arizona. We had a party for her in the big party room. I will never forget how much fun we all had. Unfortunately we lost Roni July 12th 2020 due to multiple failing health issues. Thank you Shady Oaks for making her time there so memorable❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
