Will not stay again. It was $65 to camp, $75 for full hookup. Should have got full hookup, no water working at dump station. Very crowded. Lots of permanents, dog poop everywhere, ended up walking in it, smelled it all the way home. Big crowd next to us, partied until after midnight. Emptied dumpsters at 2 am, woke us up.Did enjoy country music playing Friday night

My wife, great nephew (3 years old), and I just got back home from S & H Campgrounds. I was worried because on Trip Advisor, the campgrounds has a 1 star review. I don't know if it was because it was a holiday weekend; however, we had a great time. There were things for my great nephew to do the whole weekend from riding a pony, face painting, and balloons to a great fireworks display on Saturday night that lasted over an hour. Like a lot of reviews stated, I can see how it would flood if there was substantial amounts of rain; however, it is near a creek. Every place we visited the staff was awesome. They took us to our site via a golf cart upon arrival. They have a restaurant and because of the holiday it was only 10 dollars extra a day for my nephew to play all day at the Family Fun area (normally $12). We have decided we will be back.

I have visited many campgrounds and have been going to camping since I'm literally 2 weeks old (I'm 48 now) and I love S&H Campground. Sure it's not perfect but it's great. Lots for everyone to do. Constantly improving. Great entertainment every weekend. Jay, the owner, is extremely nice. I love how everything is here and how there is even a store with food and drinks and an ice cream parlor.

We were having problems with our water heater and had to use the bathroom facilities. They were atrocious. Filthy, broken tiles and a flimsy shower curtain. The hooks were across the room from the showers so unless you planned to parade around nude you placed your towels on the filthy floors. The stalls had no means to lock the stall doors. No paper towels available in the women’s bathroom. They have extremely poor drainage issues and there is no dog park. The fire pit was full of trash. And no Good Sam or AAA discounts offered because they have great amenities. What a crock.

The campsites were nice, picnic tables, and fire pits. Check in was phenomenal, walked in received an awesome welcome packet with Information and activities. They took us to our spot on a golf cart. That was great, what was not were the bathrooms, only 1 shower worked and it was dirty. The water was freezing cold. They didn’t have doors on the bathrooms, just shower curtains. It was so loud, they had a garbage truck come through and empty all dumpsters at 2 am on Sat morning, it was so loud. Dogs barking all over all night and people playing loud music at 3 am. We won’t be back.
