What a beautiful park! It was so clean and walking by the water was so relaxing! We took our pup around lake 7 and he was very interested in the ducks. He was a good boy and didn't chase them! We will definitely be back to visit and explore more of the park!

Very nice recreation area around the artificial lakes. It's really scenic, lots of bird life. They also have play areas for children, including a splash zone. And there are also camping and cabins available if people are interested. Great place to hold an event, too. Wonderful experience worth paying the entrance fee to get inside.

Overall, a pleasing but very interesting experience! I jogged to the park in 95 DEGREE heat, so my bosom was already VERY sweaty and flapping all about. (Which is...nothing new.) Then, upon purchasing a bag of food to throw at the duckies, I ran to the lake where quite a circle of them seem to have gathered! Oh, they were so applaudable! An earthly delight indeed. 🥰. Unfortunately, a man started yelling at me and waving his arms around. I had taken a dive into the lake and tried to nibble at the delicious moss that was growing around the edge. I suppose this young man disliked that, and so I jumped out of the lake and shook my hair about. Then, waddling away, I hopped over the fence and went on my merry way. Well, you know what they say...you only live once... anyways it was a lovely trip, one I may take again.

This park is really well-maintained. I saw this staff member named Dawn working hard, cleaning tables, grills, and picking up trash all the time. It's probably one of the more expensive campgrounds in San Diego, but I get why. It's always packed, but there's still plenty of space to feel like you're alone. Just be aware that their prices change. They quoted me the highest price even though there were a lot of sites available on weekdays.

We stayed here for six weeks. The campground is maintained very well and it's clean. However, if you're looking for peace and quiet this is not the place. Between mowers, garbage trucks, leaf blowers, airplane/helicopter traffic, weed whips, tree trimmers with their chainsaws and wood chippers starting at 7a.m., and campers burning the midnight oil on the weekends, then it's not the place for you. Staff is friendly and the place is clean and well-maintained, but there is rarely a moment of peace and quiet. The noise is pretty constant and routine. Campers here don't follow the rules. We just heard that a dog got taken by a coyote over the weekend because the people were partying and didn't have their dog on a leash. Weekends are the time when partiers come out, and this was no exception. I feel bad for the dog because it's owners were careless, but it's not about the dog. Rather, it's about the people who come here. We have been traveling FT for about eight months and haven't been to a campground where the rules are blatantly ignored like they are here. It's not just the dogs not being on a leash, there is plenty more to talk about. Just know that if you come here the noise will be constant and other campers are inconsiderate and disrespectful of rules.
