We have stayed at Sandy Riverfront a few times: it is well maintained and its staff is friendly, but the person we talked to could not adequately explain what the $3.50 charge at booking (it is a booking fee as described on the website which we did not look at as we reserved over the phone) was for. We were disappointed that the rates have increased almost $20 a night in the past year. Also, the internet/ WiFi is terrible for being in a location that is not remote. Spots are close together, but it is a pretty location with many trees along the sides and waterways to enjoy.

WORST EXPERIENCE! Read the numerous one star reviews if you bother staying here. We have an immaculate RV inside and out. They have the audacity to make us take time out of our day to send them pictures of our rig and then deny our stay because it’s more than 10 yrs old!? Where do you get off judging people when your location is near train tracks just outside sketchy part of Portland. We have stayed in beautiful high-end resort parks all along the west coast. We stayed in Carmel when we visited Pebble Beach last year, Santa Barbara, all along coast and never had anything like this. Unbelievable.

This is a great park and we will return here again. The sites are level, the utilities all work, and the staff is great. We returned to the park late one night and the night watchman stopped by to assure that it was us that were at the trailer. The park is surrounded by trees, the spaces are close but more than acceptable. It is right off the freeway so there is constant traffic noise, but it is muffled by the trees. We stayed in a trailer and again, we will be back. It is a dog friendly park.

Very nice RV Resort located just outside of downtown Troutdale. Clean and well kept, the Sandy River runs along one side of the property, and Glenn Otto Park is just across the street. Clean and efficient laundry. We very much enjoyed our stay there for a couple of weeks.

This is a very large campground with many big rigs. We were there on a weekend in August and it was packed. RV’s are packed in very tightly, but it all seems to work. It’s nicely landscaped. Many of the spots are shaded. The campground tries to keep the grass green, as there are sprinklers that come on at night. There are many TV channels. In order to use the WIFI, the office gives you a code, with which you can set up a Tengo Internet account for free WIFI. You have to have a code for each device, and each account you set up has to have a different email. The WIFI was spot on during the day, especially in the morning, but at night it was VERY frustrating. I was trying to plan our trip online (not streaming videos!) and the WIFI was either deadly slow or kept kicking me off. We definitely were connected to the Tengo account correctly. One night, after TWO HOURS of trying to get online and STAY online, I gave up, and I was not able to plan our next stopping point as I needed. Laundry and bathrooms are very nice and very clean. The showers were wonderful! It was probably one of the best showers we have seen in our cross country trip! The water pressure was great and the water was hot for the whole shower. The showers had a nice bench, a hook and plenty of space for your stuff and to dress. Tokens are needed to use the laundry. We didn’t use the laundry, but going to the office to get tokens seems like a pain. Why not just use quarters?? Overall, OTHER THAN THE WIFI, this is a very nice campground! Because of the WIFI, it gets 4 stars, instead of 5.
