Bit of a drive to get here but totally worth it. Nice beach area and waterfront park with walking trails. There's also an actual trail that runs into the woods but not as scenic. Plenty of parking and decent amenities. Great place to chill for a few hours.

Such a beautiful park!!! Ten minutes from my daughter's apartment in Des Moines and truly a gem! I might be a little jelly! Can't wait to come back and hike the trail! Also, we happened to be here for a Cambodian Cultural Celebration that was lovely!

The neighbors have a wonderful led billboard to tell people to stay off their beach. Lovely. The parking lots are 3x bigger than the beach at low tide.

Love it when it is high tide because the beach is covered up so when you're in the water you just standing on sand not stones. Dusk time is the best for me and the fam because the water is nice and cold especially after the hot summer days. Great place for families and especially children. There is lots of parking and there is enough space on the beach as well a path for walking with a play area as well for children.

Definitely one of the best parks I’ve been to. Breathtaking sunset view in the evening. Plenty of parking, Discovery Pass or daily parking pass required. There is a playground, a small snack shop and a firepit. Many tables and grills for picnics and outdoor parties.
