It’s very close to i-10 so it made it easy to travel to our school sessions. The manager was very nice and available, because there was a change in rv spot but i didn’t get notified. She came out and the spot was close to the original. Everything was good. The water pressure was a little weak but we were able to take a shower. The price was much better than the other park in the area.

They answer their phone! That was very surprising to me since most camp sites don't seem to answer their phones, but she was also EXTREMELY kind. She played phone tag with me for over an hour, and she maintained her kindness. She did all she could to get me a spot to park in for the night, even when it was already past 9pm. The park itself has a lot of pot holes, a lot of mud (it was raining for several days), I believe I saw only one paved parking spot. The lots are also very tightly spaced, not giving too much room between RV's. There are no signs on the campsite to know where the showers & restrooms are, but there is also a laundry room. I didn't use the laundry room, so I can not comment on it. I was very grateful to the woman that runs this campsite for putting up with me in the phone for as long as she did and for getting us a spot to park in.

We had the best time for the week we spent touring the area. The camp host was amazing and the service was the best we have had since leaving BC, Canada. Our host was a wealth of knowledge and went out if her way to accommodate all campers. This RV Park is under new management and they are working in improvements but these did not impact the campers. Our camp host made sure she checked people in, made sure the showers etc were clean and did what she could to make all campers stay the best it could be. We stayed three extra nights because of the great service. We will stay again if we come back this way again.

Was only there for a few days to take our Grandson to New Orleans for some beignets and creole cooking, accomplished both. Was pleased with the accommodations the site was a little tight, for a 45' class A, but everything else was very nice and you can see they are making it better. Maybe steps into the pool would be nice. They do most communication via the internet and this was not made clear to us, and that is the only bad thing I have to say. We liked it and would stop again if in the area!

I really enjoyed my stay at Salt Water Bayou Kampground. Ms. Suzanne was very welcoming and helpful with this being our first trip in our travel camper. She is a real sweet lady she even offered my husband and I some of her cabbage soup. It was very quiet on the grounds I slept like a baby. Plenty of space between the RV’s. There is a swimming pool, mini golf and giant checker game that I tend to enjoy on my next visit. We took a nice stroll to see the bayou. Overall great experience.
