Was very disappointed to receive a notice stating the new checkout time of 12 pm when we arrived for our weekend outing. Then arrived at our site to find that it had not been cleaned since the last campers left. This is the supposed reason for the time change was to get it ready for the next guest. It’s just another excuse to charge the same money for less time at the parks.

This was the closest, well-reviewed campground I found to Raleigh, NC. The location was great for a graduation at the local universities. I didn't have much time to look around the general area, but I was able to go to the graduation in Raleigh and come back and enjoy some lake time. The only downside to this stay was that the site did not have a connection to sewer. It had water and electricity. So we had to accomodate to that, and probably could've done a better job by using the facilities, but still had to move the rig. Regardless, we made the best of it, and when moving the rig to dump, took it to the lake beaches and parked. Hung out. Had a great time at the beach. Staff is great and awesome. Fun times at the sand, beautiful views. Clean. Great all around. A beautiful campground.

This place is amazing!!! Great spacing with the campsites so you actually feel like you are out there in the woods some where. The lake is beautiful and the trails make the place seem bigger than it actually is. The bath houses were adequate and really clean. So the fact that they didn't have sewer connections was not an issue. There was no 50 amp service but the 30 amp adapter i had was able to run both a/c units and the microwave without an issue. The dump stations were conveniently located on the way out and had water hoses to rinse down if needed. I believe this is a new favorite for us now.

This is one of my favorite places to spend a day and I go often. It is calm, peaceful and serene. Recently had the opportunity to explore more on a boat ride around the lake. I’d recommend to anyone who wants to be outdoors in a relaxing environment.

Beautiful park. The park recently reopened after renovations to all electrical and water services. Sites are very large with plenty of space between sites. I am in A13 and can barely see my neighbors. Heavily shaded so Starlink is hit or miss, mostly miss in this site.
