A nice surprise for being so close to town. Quiet, clean, and a lovely walkway along the river. Clean and roomy bathrooms and laundry facilities. Courteous and friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

We were told that we would have a drive-thru RV spot because we had just purchased and picked up our trailer earlier that day. However, when we arrived after hours as arranged, it turned out that we were given a small spot second to the last spot at a dead end that we had to back up into. Thankfully, we met a nice man who turned out to be a truck driver by trade. He asked us if he could help us back in. We very graciously accepted his offer.

I've now stayed at Roamer's Rest twice, for a month in Sept of 2023 and for two weeks in August/September 2024. Each time has been great, and they are my go to spot on my annual Portland area visit. The office staff is friendly and accommodating to requests, and unlike many RV parks will allow you to receive Amazon/UPS/FedEx packages during your stay. There is an upper back in row (tends to be long term stays since getting a rig into the upper rows requires some backing expertise) and a lower loop with both pull through and back in spaces. All spaces have 30amp power & 20 amp outlets (some may have more in the lower loop, but I've stayed in the upper rows each time and I'm not certain) and all spaces have both water and sewer hookups. There are two sets of restrooms/showers/laundry and while I've used the upper row restrooms more, both have always been clean and tidy when I've visited them. The maintenance folks are out daily cleaning up the park property and it is very well cared for. The park is a mix of longer term and short term residents, but long term residents are expected to keep things neat and tidy. You won't see run down, non-functioning RVs or trailers here, just functional rigs. Visitors run the full gauntlet from vans and teardrops to diesel pusher rigs. The riverfront has been recently renovated with a wide cement walking/biking pathway across both the RV park's river front access and the riverfront access of neighboring properties. While the path isn't particularly long, it is more than enough to let your canine companions stretch their legs and be social with the other doggos out on walks. Pets are allowed (including my 100lb great pyrenees mix), and there are multiple dog relief areas with trash cans and waste bags placed throughout both the park and the walking path along the riverfront. I've never had anything but pleasant experiences with fellow pet owners, everyone is polite and no aggressive dogs are tolerated.

Don’t go to this place!! I couldn’t get booked with this place because they discriminate. I have a brand new travel trailer but because they don’t like the design or that travel trailer they wouldn’t accept me. It’s a Forest River Timberwolf mini loft. Because it has a porch on the back they won’t take it. Discrimination!!! Don’t waste your time or money with this place that treats you like that.

NOT apprentice friendly! Parking here is a joke. You get special treatment and parking privileges here only if you’re friends with the owners. The older couple staying in spot 16 are in everybody’s business and make a stink about everything. They are allowed extra parking spots which allow them to enjoy their spot more freely than others. I cannot have my outdoor furniture or things that we love bringing along and setting up for our spot because we aren’t allowed to as we are forced to park both vehicles in our already crammed unit while unit 16 gets to have their entire patio furniture set up nicely because they are allowed to have extra parking. There is an entire row of open spaces to park that only unit 16 is allowed to have - again because they are friends with the owners. Would not recommend staying here long term because of the couple in unit 16 and also because parking is a joke. It ends up being a headache.
