About This Campsite
Red Rock Campground offers a distinctive camping experience within the beautiful desert landscape. While the address and precise city title are not provided, this site is known for its proximity to natural attractions and trails, making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
Visitors should be prepared for the desert environment. The campground is set in an open space, which can result in windy conditions and limited vegetation, affecting privacy. Clean facilities include pit toilets equipped with essential supplies. However, there are no showers available, so campers are recommended to bring their own solutions.
The campground is a great hub for climbers and hikers, with early bedtimes common to make the most of dawn adventures. If you plan to visit, ensure you have reservations in advance as it can be a busy site, particularly for those aiming for a less congested camping space closer to the hills.
Some practical tips to consider: parking requires a permit for display on your dashboard, and certain sites may require additional leveling efforts for RVs. Although there are water points for drinking, they aren't suitable for refilling tanks. Keep in mind that Wi-Fi is not available on-site, necessitating a trip into town for connectivity needs.
The scenic views at sunrise and sunset are highly praised, offering a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere. Friendly camp hosts contribute to a welcoming environment for all visitors, ensuring a secure and comfortable stay.
Overall Thoughts: Red Rock Campground presents a true desert camping experience with easy access to nearby park trails and breathtaking views. Its simplicity and natural beauty make it perfect for those seeking an authentic outdoor adventure. However, campers should be well-prepared with essentials due to minimal onsite amenities. For pet owners, consider your dog's temperament as the site can be bustling with activity. Enjoy embracing the tranquility and rugged charm of this unique camping destination!

Nice campground. Pretty windy, spots are adequately spaced, but not a lot of vegetation in the desert for privacy. Toilets clean with lots of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. People go to best early (9pm) and get up earlier (4-6am) which I liked as a climber. No showers, but we brought a bag that we hung from the very sturdy gazebo above our picnic table.

Very nice and pleasant hosts (might be rangers) that were very diligent in making rounds and ensuring all was good in the campground. Nice campsites, some would require more leveling of your RV than others. Overall, we enjoyed the campground tremendously as it was quiet and close by to trails and the canyon drive.

So far so good! Super cute well kept campground. We are old so get 1/2 price with park pass, even better! Tucked in a little bowl, but still mountains all around. So close to Vegas baby! Camp host Barb was real nice. Camp has pit toilets, water to drink, but NOT fill your tanks . Site 47 is not level, tough to level our 33 ft camper. I still 💕 this place. FYI this is a busy place lots of people coming and going, so if your dog can't handle this and is constantly barking, LEAVE HIM HOME.

This was the Arizona camping experience I was hoping for. Reservations are a NEED beforehand. The road to the campsite has speed bumps and you have yo check in and get a parking paper for your dash. The camp site number I don’t remember but it was a higher number and up towards the hills where it is less congested. Bathrooms were accessible and no need to walk too far from any location. The weather was really nice despite it being December. My campsite didn’t have a parking spot so I parked on the side next to my site, there is a fire pit, table and designated area for setting up tents. I loved this campsite because of it being immersed in Arizonas wildlife so much. The campsite didn’t have any Wi-Fi and you have to drive back into town. The campsite is very close to red rock NP as well as many other hikes and rock climbing areas.

It was windy 🌬 and cold. But great sunrise/sunset views. Camp host were amazing 👏 So close to scenic drive. Pit toilets. We had to walk toward road entrance for T-Mobile service.
