TOMOUNT Canvas Tent with Stove Jack Bell Tent Yurt 16.4ft*High10.33ft Glamping with TPU Transparent Roof 6-8 Person for Family Camping (Canvas Tent with rainfly)

【Durable and high-quality material】The canvas tent is made of moisture permeable TC material (65% polyester and 35% cotton blend), which has excellent moisture permeability and flame retardancy, and reduces condensation in the canvas tent. Equipped with a zippered removable groundsheet, the bell tent groundsheet is made of thick PVC with a waterproof index of over 20,000 mm.The skylight is made of TPU, which is resistant to water, abrasion and tearing. 【Spacious Capacity】The diameter of this canvas tent is 16.4feet and the top height is about 10.33feet.The side walls (supported by 12 poles) are 63inch high, which is much higher than the walls of the ordinary bell tent (22.8inch). And the bottom of this tent is nearly circular, so there will be more space available. Suitable for people who want to place a lot of equipment, such as tent stove, chairs, tables and beds. Ideal for backyard parties, family camping, weekend breaks and festivals. 【Transparent Roof】The top is made of TPU, which is better than PVC in all aspects. You can enjoy the blue sky and starry sky with it. Of course, if you don't want to sunbathe, you can always pull the inside shade closed (see picture). It is fireproof and can be used with a wood stove inside the tent to keep you warm and cozy during the fall and winter months. The tent has large round mesh windows on all four sides, which promote air circulation

Essential Information

About the Campground

The Prince William Forest RV Campground boasts a convenient location near Washington, DC, providing an easy base for those looking to explore the nation's capital. The campground has undergone recent renovations, including newly paved sites with water and electric hookups, although some areas are still undergoing upgrades. While the camping spaces are spacious and the grounds are generally well-maintained, visitors have noted tight spots for larger RVs.

Visitor Tips & Considerations

  • The park seems better suited for RVs, as tent setups might encounter challenges due to the terrain and light pollution from overhead lamps.
  • Keep in mind the limitations with Wi-Fi connectivity; it might be inconsistent or slow.
  • Despite the modern amenities, there are still ongoing construction efforts, which could affect site availability.
  • Visitors have praised the clean facilities, but noted that restrooms can get muggy without proper ventilation.
  • Be prepared to have flexibility in plans, especially with extensions of stays or specific spot preferences.

Overall Thoughts

Overall, Prince William Forest RV Campground provides an enjoyable experience, especially for RV enthusiasts who value cleanliness and convenience. However, improvements in communication and handling specific guest needs will enhance the experience further.

Had called on a short notice I needed to stay until my well was gonna be completed. The lady that took my phone call was very very sweet I honestly forget her name. I paid for two weeks & she had told me if I needed to extend that I could. Everything went smoothly she was very sweet & left me a pamphlet outside the office upon arrival since I was arriving after hours. The park itself is super nice very clean very spacious. The only issue I had…. Was the gentleman who had called me when I apparently was supposed to check out two days prior to his phone call. That part that really really pissed me off was his lies. I had no problem paying for extension, but he had told me that I can’t stay any longer than to finish the rest of the week off because “someone was coming to reserve my specific spot”. Funny because there was numerous vacant spots beside me. I find it funny that a park would offer a taken spot to another customer rather than to give the customer currently occupying the space to extend if needed. Then when I said I needed two more weeks & that I should be gone by then. He told me I can stay until the 28th & that’s the max limit & I have to leave. So not only did his story change that someone was coming to stay at my exact spot but also why did I have to leave? Why was there a deadline? A lot of other campers stay for months on end & I was basically kicked out in other words. & I paid extra to stay in the back row for privacy!

NOT TENT FRIENDLY. We reserved a spot for memorial day weekend and were told that they had tent friendly sites. It shows on the campground map as well. However, upon arriving, there is no tent pad and the patch of land next to our spot was in no way prepped. We had to setup on top of leaves, twigs, and rocks on NOT flat land. There is asphalt to park on, a firepit that was very nice for cooking, and a picnic bench. As night came... there were more issues. Our assigned spot had a bright light overhead that made sleeping difficult, not to mention the park is very close to a busy road and noise went all night. In an RV, the light and noise would be blocked... not in a tent. The bathrooms were clean, but the women's bathroom needs fans or some air flow. The space is shared with the shower stalls and it was beyond muggy and almost unbearable. Finally, the pool was not open, which was not told to us upon booking or arrival. We paid almost $80/night. I would not recommend this campground unless you have an RV.

Location is convenient in DC area. Sites are tight. We have a 33ft 5th wheel and barely fit into site. Campground is newly paved but us dated otherwise.

05/2024 $50/day The RV Park had been closed for a year or so for remodeling, and the first two rows have reopened recently. The additional three rows will open within the next few weeks. The sites are paved, with water and electric. The park also provides Wi-Fi. There is a dump station at the entrance, but not for individual sites so far as I know. The bathhouse is clean and spacious, with HOT water (something you can't assume will be true in these places). The Laundry is not new, but will likely be remodeled in the future. There's a small playground and a pool (which was closed during my visit). Park is around 30 miles from the National Mall at the Capitol, and is very convenient for exploring the area. A note about the WiFi: don't expect it to be reliable or fast. I'm just barely able to browse the web, and the connection drops out every few minutes!

Very nice park. Would be a 5 except they are still finishing upgrades. No sewer yet at site, site very tight for our 40 ft 5th wheel had to park truck in site next door. Not given site we expected due to upgrades in progress. The tall beautiful trees blocked our Starlink and Mifi hotspot was not great either.
