We tented here and loved it! The site was large, wooded, private. We heard the gun shots from the near by range on Friday night, but they were over by 8pm. Saturday we heard only a couple. We didn't find it bothersome at all. There was the occasional low flying plane as well from the airport, but again, nothing detrimental to our experience. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, but they were quite far from our site unfortunately. Store and bathrooms are located up a STEEP hill. Very do-able, but important to note if you have a stroller, wagon, or have a disability. The snack shack, live music, clean pond and beach, ice cream window. They have it all and it was really well done! We didn't have to leave once. Highly recommend and will be back!

I would love to give this place 5 stars. It a beautiful campground with nice facilities and a friendly staff. But they do not manage the loud campers the disrupt you from enjoying your stay. Drum people singing and howling in a number of locations. And it’s been this way each of the 6 times we have stayed here. The management need to boot the loudmouth drunks if they want a truly great place.

This is a Nickel and dime you place. Pay for showers, pay for WiFi, pay for extra person…2 day minimum during Sept off season…$90 per night without full hook ups. Camp ground is nice and well kept.

Rise and shine and enjoy the peaceful serenity of gun shots ringing through the trees all day long at Pinewood Lodge campgrounds. Had we known that this place was across the way from a shooting range AND an airport which brings loud air traffic (low flying helicopters and planes) throughout the day we NEVER would have come here as it absolutely disrupts the ability to actually relax in nature. Many of the campsites are right on top of each other with little to no privacy as well. This is a very popular campground but I just wanted to let people know about the noise and space because we personally wish we'd known anout these issues ahead of time - we definitely would have gone somewhere else. I unfortunately can't upload the video I took of all of the noise but it is certainly disruptive. Happy camping, wherever you end up! :)

We didn’t get a room, we used our own tent. We had a blast for the 5 days we stayed. Very clean and organized place. We will definitely return again.
