It was a very beautiful place, but there was lots of litter all over the trails...and there was a huge homeless camp off the trail that we followed because we thought it was part of the trail but it led to a HUGE homeless camp ..but the lake was pretty and huge and the water was pretty clear! I didn't see any bathrooms around where we were at. We saw cabins across the water but idk if they are for renting or not. I heard there is camping grounds somewhere but we didn't locate them

A very peaceful, clean , nice and easily accessible location. Limited parking and sometimes it gets busier, but mostly you may get parking. We went to enjoy the twilight at the lake. Somehow we smell some bad odor on the shore consecutively two days, May be goose. But that is one one side of the lake. Overall there are clean benches , couple of picnic tables were there, trash cans are near to water, wheelchair accessible to the lake. Parking is little elevated and to reach the water you may have to take steps or wheelchair ramp slope. There is no restrooms or water fountains. Overall a very nice place to visit for a picnic. I guess no swim is allowed and lot of goose were there.

There are few places to enjoy around this side of the lake (Hermitage/Donelson). Below the Dam fishing activities and the beginning of the Greenway Trail, also there is a dog park which is pretty spacious and clean. On the other side of the road a beautiful but small place to enjoy the sunset and watch boats cruise by.
