Restrooms need help...road Can be muddy, there is traffic through the camp due to a school camp on tje other side. Pluses are a nice creek, BIG trees and a great variety of winter birds! We tented, and the night birds, like Western Screen Owls, and Night Hawks was AWESOME! I was there for the birds. I would NOT bring anything but a tent or small camper. Don't come in a large motor home. There are water pumps near the outhouses. No showers or hand washing other than the pump. Some campsites are level, most are not. I'm not sure of the number of sites... maybe 10? There are a couple group sites for tenting. School groups and clubs come fairly often on weekends. There are "dry" camp spots on the other side of the road, but no water or outhouses there. Just a few pull outs along the creek. Rainy weather can be questionable for travel in and out of the area.!

I take my granddaughters camping twice a year. We go to pepper sauce canyon for 5 days and up to Happy Jack Arizona for 5 more days The girls love seeing the wild turkeys that come right through our camp site and have had a deer walk through camp a few times We went in July 24 and it was hot and humid. The only thing bad is there is no phone service so you can't make my calls or receive any The out house had lots of toilet paper it could use something to help with the smell. And only one water faucet worked good out of 4 there was two that didn't work at all. And the fire pits should be replaced with new fire rings. If you go up to camp you might want to take your own fire wood there not much there. The camp grounds are big but you can't park in side by you he table in or fire pit. So it's best to use tents. Other wise pepper sauce canyon is a good place to go

Spent a few hours here hanging out in the shade. At least it was cooler than Tucson and Phoenix. Not a big campground, but it was clean when we were there. Also not crowded. We will be back again.

An amazingly serene seeming, wonderfully laid out national forest campground in the pines on Forest service roads. Unfortunately the campground serves as a driveway for a business, that has employees coming and going every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. I am not speaking in hyperbole when I say that a car either comes in or out of the facility at the back of the campgrounds every 5-10 minutes, all day and night, blanketing the entire campground in fine silt dust. For me, the hell of it all culminated in a full size FedEx box truck slamming through the campground at 40 mph, flipping me off. It was late, I was exhausted, and I had put a great deal of effort into being there, but I packed up and left. It is inconceivable that they allow people to camp here, let alone charge $15 to do so. Absolutely insane. It's like some absurdist joke that couldn't possibly be real. Just don't.

Very nice. Remote and well kept. Its surprising as road leading there is barren. Yet the camp is in a deep ravine covered in sycamore trees. Bring mosquito repellent🐕🦺
