Unique Charm at Paradise Canyon! Paradise Canyon offers a distinct camping experience that sets it apart from the usual campsites we’ve visited. Nestled along a serene river, this campground delights with its natural beauty and diverse activities. Scenic Setting: What makes Paradise Canyon special is its location near a dam, where the river flows gently downstream. The primitive campsites along the riverbank provide a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Keep an eye out for lazy waterfalls and hidden crawfish under the river’s vegetation – it’s a haven for nature enthusiasts. Outdoor Adventures: Exploring the trails on bicycles along the river was a highlight of our visit. The scenic trail eventually led us to a perfect spot for fishing, where I caught my first smallmouth bass. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the annular solar eclipse here. Got some great pictures. Awesome campground and staff. There are lots of camping spots to choose from. There wasn't any river water due to the drought, but they do have picnic tables to rent for day use, which would be nice when the river is flowing. The lack of water was made up for, by being able to explore the rocky dried up riverbed and find all sorts of items people lost in the river. The wildest thing we found was a wallet someone lost a year prior and we returned it to him. Really cool experience. We took some time to clean up a little. We actually witnessed a film crew filming 🎥 a movie while we were camping 🏕 Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy some outdoor activities with the family.

Us outta-towners stumbled upon this gem when trying to locate a fun place to watch the 2024 eclipse and WOW…Talk about the middle of no where spot to be! Due to a 4-6 year drought, the river is waterless lol but the bed is hike-able to the dam. Our kids loved it! Great amenities and easy communication- The owners and everyone who worked there were so kind and accommodating. We’d love to return one day for tent camping (and especially for the mangonadas!)

Went to sign in and pay and the people who worked there were really nice. Although there is only a small water hole left, it’s still a cool place to explore what’s at the bottom of the river. The water hole is an alright size for many people and it gets deep at different points

Would not give a refund, river is dried up, swimming hole was less then friendly looking. Full of algae, probably bacteria and turtles. Website stated only some areas open but what they met is one small section. Very deceiving in my opinion
