Nice park. Just be aware of your surroundings because homeless people like to hang out there.

Mesa verde means Green Table. People lived here in the Cliff Dwellings in AD 200 area for over 1000 years. There are over 600 Cliff Dwellings. What are tryouts and making them move at some point. The Anasazi as in todays time called Ancestral Pueblo people build the structure. These are Sandstone houses carved out of the mountain side. Some were 80 feet deep 120 rooms and 8 kivas up to 19 household. Holding 60-80 people. Cliff palace was the biggest 150 rooms. In the summertime your allowed to take tours through the cliff dwelling properties. Keep in mind your 7000 feet above sea level so if you have Breathing problem this might not be good for you. I don’t know where Christopher Columbus comes in by discovering America. but that’s another story. The 3 sister.As in Corn,squash and beans fed the people. Potato have the most nutrients. Ever wondering how they know how long ago somebody was living somewhere.One way was the Rings inside the trees. That tells the age of the tree and they match that up with wood from a old house or structure to see how long ago people settled here.

It's ok now, it had a lot of trash at one time .. the only yuck I find with this park and most of the parks around Albuquerque, is people just don't want to clean up after their dogs and themselves...
