I've stayed at a lot of campgrounds, and this is easily one of the best I've ever been to. The service is next level—you can tell the people working here genuinely care about the place. The times I've stayed here it's been consistently clean. The pull up sites each have electric hookups and there is ice and wood available for purchase. Also, there is laundry on-site which is rare nowadays. What I like most are the hiking trails which are very well maintained. The campground is secluded but close to the city. Cell coverage can be hit or miss. The booking site can be a bit tricky to use but just give them a call. They will talk with you over the phone and help you find the perfect spot. At the end of the day, it's the people who work here that really make this place the best. They go the extra mile, and it shows.

I stayed here for a weekend in April and was amazed by how nice it was. It was a last minute trip and all the state parks were full, and I'm so happy I found this place. The Campground is less than 15 mins from downtown Charlotte, very easy to get to yet secluded. There are activities available and planned during the weekends. The campsites are large and well-setup with a water pump, fire pit and some have a tent platform. Very nice bath house, setup as a few private bathrooms. Everything was very clean and easy to find.

VERY close to Charlotte and the airport, but tucked away and quiet. Facilities are well kept, modern, and we'll planned. For the security, service, amenities, and atmosphere, I would expect to pay 3 times as much and/or every site packed every day. This is such a hidden gem. Don't change a thing!

It’s a nice and quiet campground with not too much going on. You get lots of shade from the trees and is definitely nature friendly. They have grills and power outlets out there and also the staff is friendly the ranger may ride around to check on the customers every once in a while but overall is a nice campground to just relax and enjoy each other’s company.

My partner and I stayed for one night for a concert in Charlotte but loved our site. The bathrooms were very clean as well as the park itself. The day after checkout we explored the surrounding nature preserve which was incredibly beautiful. I'm sure we'll be back!
