What a great park so close to Washington, D.C.! With clear signage and large parking lots, the park has a little lake, trails, a large playground, a nature center, and one of the few skating parks in the area. It's open from dawn to dusk every day.

This is a very large park with lots to do. I only go to walk around the lake which is a nice quiet scenic walk. There are always people fishing so there must be something good in the lake to catch. There are a couple different parking lots. One parking lot takes you to the ball fields, another takes you to the skate park and playgrounds and the last one takes you to the nature center. When you park where the playgrounds are the lake is behind the large playground. It’s hard to see at first but if you walk past the playgrounds you will find the lake. The walk from the parking lot has a lot of stairs and/or hills to go down to the lake. Half of the trail around the lake is paved and the other side is not.

Man it's beautiful out there. I almost forgot I was in Clinton MD. I wanted to catch the fall leaves and I did just in time. It's very very pretty out there. They had ducks and a few people even fishing. I wonder what it's like in the summer? Can't wait to find out. I loved it. Friendly people . Tennis Courts Plenty of playgrounds for the kids. Best of all it was clean. To think this is minutes from home.

I’ve been going here since I was a child! It’s a MAJOR part of mine and my little sisters childhood. My father was a Park Ranger there, as well. We have had countless birthday parties there, and they were all so wonderful! (Just watch out for spiders, specifically brown recluses). I’m going to have my daughter’s birthday party there, and I can’t wait for her to experience this wonderful park. There’s so many things to do, as well!

The good: Excellent price for a campsite near DC. There are some nice walking trails. The bad: dump station is very basic and not user friendly. There is a short section of one lane road with a small curve when entering that isn't trailer friendly, but is still doable. The ugly: gun fire almost every night we were here in the nearby neighborhood. Also, they count your day leaving as a day for time in the park, so we couldn't actually stay 14 days. I called multiple times and emailed a bunch without getting a response.
