Great location, cool and comfy Yurts, friendly staff, and so much to do! My brother and I stayed 3 nights and saw Crater Lake National Park, Hood River, and had a fun day at Lost Lake! You can hike the 3 mile trail around the lake, among other trails, rent kayaks and paddle boards, go fishing or swimming! It’s a great day use area as well. I highly recommend staying here. Great for families, friends and kids! Dog friendly too. Couldn’t get better than here!

A very popular location, with day use and overnight camping. Yurts available to rent along boats, canoes and paddle boats, fishing and hiking.Small grocery store with the normal assortment of stuff. Beautiful lake and views.

I came prepared to be put-off by the crowds, but was pleasantly surprised and didn't want to leave! The view alone is spectacular and post-card worthy. However, the campground was equally as spectacular, and made the stay that much more enjoyable. I stayed in D loop and my site was pin-drop quiet at night; private; and beautiful. The price was a bit steep (approximately $50 without electricity, but with a water spigot and vault toilet nearby), but it was worth it for the peace and quiet and access to the lake. (Full disclosure: I car camp, so that helps to cut down the noise from fellow campers. However, even car camping at state parks is often very noisy, so this site was a surprise with how quiet it was). To mitigate the crowds, I booked my stay on a weekday, and I didn't go to the lake until sunset and sunrise. You will deal with FAR fewer crowds that way and can truly enjoy the lake in solitude (especially at sunrise). Things to know before you go: • There is no cell service. I have US Cellular and service dropped approximately 1.5 miles from the entrance. There is also no public wifi available. You will truly be disconnected from technology. • If you're only planning to visit for the day, the day-use fee is $15 and you can purchase the pass at the entrance station. • If you already have a reservation at the campground, a day use pass is not required. • There are no motors allowed on the lake. They have boat rentals, but be prepared to over pay. • There is a general store with items you may have forgotten to bring and/or gifts to purchase, but again, be prepared to over pay. • There is a restaurant (also located within the store) with a limited menu. Those who are vegetarian/vegan or have dietary restrictions will not find much (if anything) to order from this menu, so plan accordingly. • The best view is from the North Day Use Area, located around the corner from the Lodge and General Store area. Parking is somewhat limited, so come early or late to secure a spot. • Those with mobility issues can still enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Hood over Lost Lake by way of the North Day Use Area. My only two complaints: They have hot showers available for purchase at their general store for $6 (for 15 minutes), but I personally felt that was too expensive and should have been included with the already expensive reservation fee. Also, I wish their restaurant would offer at least one vegetarian option (like a veggie or black bean burger). I couldn't have anything on their menu and that was a bummer. Other than that, this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ location and one I think everybody should visit at least once.

This was a truly beautiful setting ruined by the constant obnoxious sound of various generators running all around us. We booked two nights of tent camping on Memorial Day weekend, and though the nature around us looked stunning, it was completely ruined by human noise pollution. I go tent camping to escape to the tranquility of the forest, which was nowhere to be found at this resort, and which cost around $50 a night to hear a sound equivalent to a jackhammer overpower the sounds of birds and the wind through the trees. My friend applied for a refund and was immediately rejected by an automated message, so they clearly don't care at all about their guests. Have a separate tent camping area or at least warn campers that generators are allowed to be used anytime other than quiet hours 10pm-8am. Just boo to this entirely.

Holy Sheet, I've never seen so many Subaru cars in my life. It was like going to a Subaru dealership. What is going on here? I know I had to leave because I was one of the few with a big lifted truck and getting looks. Made me feel uncomfortable. I left because there was like 100 Subaru vehicles lining up to launch....kayaks lol
