Korbel North Campground
Korbel North Campground is a peaceful camping site set within a state-fair venue. It offers an accessible and enjoyable camping experience for those exploring Ohio, either for nearby events or as a stopover during travels. The campsite is known for its cleanliness and proximity to local venues, making it a convenient location for event attendees.
Key Features and Tips
- Korbel North Campground is just a short walk from various event venues, which is highly convenient for guests attending events.
- Despite being a campground within a fair venue, visitors find the area quiet and great for a budget-friendly stay.
- The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservations typically required. This can lead to availability issues during popular events, so plan accordingly.
- Not all spots offer full hookups, so arriving early to secure a desired location is advisable.
- Payment is straightforward; campers can park their RV and expect a visit to arrange payment without the need for prior reservation.
Important Considerations
- Ensure to check any specific events happening during your stay, as this might influence the need for earlier planning or alternative arrangements if the site is busier than usual.
- Be prepared to self-organize upon arrival, as the campground may not always have assigned spots readily managed.
Overall Thoughts
Korbel North Campground offers a straightforward and budget-friendly camping solution in Ohio. Its proximity to events is a standout feature, making it ideal for those attending nearby activities. While the first-come, first-served policy keeps things informal, it might require some planning to ensure a smooth stay, especially during high-demand periods.

Clean and 2 to 3 min walk from the venue. Could have been a little more organized and assigning spots. Some people took 2 or 3 spots.
