Stayed for one night. The RV park is clean & well maintained. Friendly & helpful staff. Tons of mature trees and an over sized K9 Paw Pen. Full hook- ups available. Internet speed was awesome. We stayed in the back of the park so the train noise was no problem. We would definitely stay here again.

Campground: Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA Holiday City, State: Lawrence, KS Check-in: July 15, 2024 Check-out: July 16, 2024 Site Number: 53 - pull through FHU Our Set Up: 32 foot Class C and TOAD We Liked: Easy access off I-70. Site was long enough so that we didn't need to disconnect. We Didn't Care For: The sites were probably gravel at one time but dirt and some gravel now. Poor signage to maneuver around the campground. Overall Assessment: We arrived late - well after closing. Our registration was in the box at the office (good). The signage around the campground, showing which sites were down which road was poor. There were no signs to direct the best way to exit the campground. Due to getting in late and it pouring rain in morning, we did not get to check out any of the amenities. This campground served it's purpose, a place to stay overnight.

We showed up afterhours and they had out packet ready with our site marked. The overflow parking was nice and big. It was easy to get into our spot, and the spot was level. The front desk workers were very friendly, and they had a cute gift shop!

What a great place! Stayed on a cabin and it was clean, neatly decorated, had all the kitchen supplies and linens we needed and was large enough for 4 adults and an infant. It was conveniently located to main attractions in Lawrence. I would definitely stay there again.

POSITIVE: Employee Chris is the best thing about this campground! VERY helpful! That said, the campground is situated in a very lovely country setting, HOWEVER… they barely disclose the high noise pollution from the incessant trains. Their website creatively describes the train whistles like something reminiscent of a sweet bygone era…IT IS NOT! It’s bad enough that when you check in, the staff offers you ear plugs!!! You won’t hear it night if you run your AC.
