Pretty nice lake not bad at all has plenty of parking and tons of places to part I ended up driving truck next to the water easy to get too and not too crazy to drive through terrain

Stayed here M-F about two weeks ago with my son. Gorgeous views and really clean campsite (#21 is the site to get if you’re tenting it). Park volunteers were super friendly. Not sure how it is on weekends, but we were one of only 3 campsites occupied the entire week, so it was very peaceful. Bathrooms have showers, but make sure you use the one that keeps the door closed. The bathroom/shower at top of hill left doors open so about a million bugs lay dead on the floor. Not a dealbreaker, though. The other bathroom was surprisingly clean. Will definitely camp here again!!

Park rangers are just over paid Karens and Darens. There’s a younger guy that does nothing but hear himself talk. Egotistical and bad for business. Why don’t you go clean the tinderbox that is California national parks or make sure camp sites have firewood. Waste of money this guy. Watch yourself out there never know when an over zealous ranger with a stick up his a$$ will drop by to complain that you are having fun. Other than that beautiful place to be good place to hike camp and fish. If you like to plink with BB guns, I’ve been told by other rangers that as long as there is no one in the other camp sites to have fun but be aware that not every ranger is as good as the last.

Very good views right on the water and a great price too. Just check yearly temps, as it was 112° all weekend in early August. Whoops. A number of issues at this site, the only flushing toilet in the men's room near our campground(by near I mean about 50 yards, but it's the closest one) was clogged all weekend and the sinks full of dead and live gnats. Literally hundreds of them every time you go in there. No soap, despite there being hand soap dispensers. The shower was also disgusting, with a brown color staining part of the floor and the walls sticky. The shower head was mostly just a drizzle and was neither hot nor cold. A few spigots of water around the grounds have good water pressure, others have nearly none and only dribble out. Additionally there were no park rangers or management of any kind to be seen all weekend, and there were some neighbors who decided to stay up until 10-11 playing their music as loudly as humanly possible while shining very bright flashlights all around camp.

This is a great place to get up in the hills. I have dry-camped here several times. This time, I hooked up to power, water, and sewage. The weather was overcast and perfect. The camp volunteer, Rick, was very friendly, and the park was well maintained.
