Went on a Monday so not too busy. Lots of space to relax, play, bike ride, eat, or just chill. I sat in the springs for a few for my back challenges…felt good. The spring water for drinking didn’t taste as bad as I thought it would but the sulfur smell was gone the next day. Other people there collecting water were nice. They let me fill up my 3 containers, which were small, right away because they had several gallons to fill. Plenty of clean restrooms. I would definitely revisit. It took me about an hour and a half from midtown ATL.

Beautiful area! The restrooms are older but well maintained. The river has some shallow areas and rocks that are pretty to cool down in. I wish the lines were shorter for the water that everyone comes to get. People are sitting around with laptops and 8 five gallon jugs etc and surround it. I've stopped by several times and this is always the case regardless of the signs that ask to limit your water. Other than that, I recommend it!! There are exercise areas, picnic areas and nice shady trees.

I’ve been on a mission since I got my GA park pass to visit as many state parks as I can. I visit a new one every Sunday. I’ve been to this one twice now and I love it! The trail isn’t too bad but the path isn’t as wide as some other parks. Take a walking stick and be aware of hanging spider webs! The spring water here is what makes this place golden! I learned about it before coming and brought a 1 gallon jug. It’s popular it seems because people come with multiple 5 gallon jugs. The rule is you can fill up as many as you want as long as you rotate in between so people aren’t waiting forever. Tip: the spring water will have a smell to it, but let it sit out wi to out a top on the container for 2-3 days and the smell will go away! There’s picnic tables available and the visitor center staff was very kind and there’s a playground.

Stayed here 3 nights on Route back home to Florida. Beautiful park. Nice staff. Only complaint is if you are camping, you have to drive to get to anywhere like the playground or the spring house. We did get 3 gallons of water. Lot of people take advantage and load up truck loads.

The details on initial page explaining the ammenities is deceiving and a lie, it says "Swimming" and boating area. There is No Swimming area at all. That being said, the fountain spring water is quite amazing and a lovely location. The park has many picnic areas and grills and pretty scenery.
