having parking lot, restrooms are really good.. peoples are maintaining hygiene always… best place for spending the time with family… kids play area are good… ice cream parlor are there ….

We’ve been loving the educational programs put on by Ranger Dan. He’s very informative on a range of topics and shares it in a kid friendly way and graciously puts up with all my kids’ interjecting facts and asking questions. I love that they have a free beach and free parking and a great educational playground.

Facilities seem pretty clean for a rec center (morning 9:30a saturday 8/31) but no toilet paper in the main stalls at all. Had to use family restroom. Did very easy yellow dot trail. About 1 mile loop around pond all pretty flat, but with rocks and roots (so not really handicap accessible). Follows the path around with picturesque views of Houghton's Pond, park at Houghton's Pond main parking lot, 840 Hillside St, Milton. Walk past the playground and towards the pond, and when you pass the beach on your right, look for the yellow dots. Follow the yellow markers around for an easy hike around the lake.

Peaceful beach to enjoy year-round. You can also fish in the pond and explore nearby trails. There's a playground for kids as well.
