Hideaway lakes is always a blast for me and my family. The staff there as well as the owners Adrian and his mom are always very helpful. If you’re looking for a quick little fishing trip away from the city this is the spot.

Absolutely amazing! Definitely off the beaten path but WORTH IT. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Needed a place to stay overnight while travelimg through and they were welcoming for a late night reservation. And so clean! Absolutely stunning morning view.

I absolutely loved my stay this weekend! The staff was so nice as soon as we got there we were asked how many rods we’d like to pay for (I paid for 3 which was 60 dollars, no fishing license required), we were asked if we needed anything from the bait shack and we were on our merry way 😊 i stayed in spot #52 and I thought it was perfect your surrounded by water on three sides 💙 it was in the middle of the East lake! I will definitely be coming back many many times

Very nice place to get away for a bit and camp. I did not fish but you can fish. There were lots of people fishing. There are Porta potties around the area. We were able to rent a fire pit when we reserved our camping spot. The staff was very friendly. We camped for 3 days. We'd definitely go back there again. Next time we do plan to go fishing!

We were traveling through Texas and spent a night here. We called the day before and they said to just come by. But when we got there, there was no one there. We did find someone who called owner and told us which site to go to. Very few sites have electricity. No sewer. It was off the beaten path, down narrow dirt roads between the pecan groves. We were the only campers in the park that night. It was very sandy and dirty. Also, 2 stray dogs have adopted the owner. The shelters are full and won't pick them up so the owner is feeding them and taking care of them. They were very friendly but it was a little tense with our dogs. The lakes had fish hopping and I saw many birds there (Swainson's hawk, vermillion flycatcher, kingbird). There were ducks, geese and grebes on the lake. It was nice to have the place to ourselves but any rain would have been a problem. The owner sells pecans he picks from his trees. If you are a fisherman, it would be the place to be; lakes are stocked. I did enjoy the stay because of the birding. We camped at HideAway Lakes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
