When I go to parks like this usually the first thing I look for is cleanliness. This place is near spotless, even though we went on a weekend where there was tons of people it was still super clean no garbage on the ground to be found anywhere. If you can try to go on a weekday, it's much nicer when it's less crowded but can't fault the park for being a popular place. Tons of picnic tables and built-in barbecues everywhere. Wish it were closer but I certainly will go back.

Fabulous hike through the redwoods from the Fall Creek trailhead. Went on a weekday and had no problems parking. We stopped often to enjoy the amazing views as the trail followed along a creek for most of our hike to the Line Kiln area. The ferns were amazing. So many spots to just sit and soak up the peace and quiet. Kept expecting a unicorn or a dinosaur to come strolling out.

I used library card to get state park pass for free and I am so glad to visit this beautiful state park. You can just walk in to the redwood forest easily. Enjoy those beautiful trees, creeks and fresh air! We also visited the visitor center the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Love this park and we will come back definitely.

One of the most gorgeous parks I’ve ever seen! Towering redwoods with babbling brook and trails from easy and hard levels. I recommend going to the Falls Creek trailhead which has a much smaller parking lot but if you go early it should be fine. It’s much more picturesque. Though the entrance to the visitor center is still beautiful. I can’t wait to go back again and again.

This park is a wonderful choice if you're seeking a close-up experience with the majestic redwood forest. The staff at the information center were incredibly friendly and provided us with valuable assistance. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the park, taking in the sheer magnificence of the towering trees. One highlight not to be missed is the tree you can actually walk into, offering a unique and immersive experience. An active train still operates within the park, allowing visitors to stroll along the same tracks. It's a nostalgic and charming feature that adds to the park's allure. Don't be deterred by any lines you encounter; they tend to move quickly. The entrance fee is $10 per car, which we found to be a reasonable price for the experience. However, there is also the option to park elsewhere if you prefer.
