Location is great, that's about it. It's just a few minutes from Garden of the Gods and a few more minutes up the road to Pikes Peak road entrance. Old Colorado City is right across the road. And you're basically camping in the parking lot of O'Reilly's so if you need any auto parts this is the place for you. This was the most expensive RV park we've stayed at in several months. $60 for the last site they had available. It was a pull-through site and they mentioned several times that if we needed help pulling in or out they could offer that for a fee. But if we broke anything, we had to pay. I assume that means that's an issue they get often. We had no problem getting in and out with our 26ft trailer, but I could see how it would be a challenge with longer trailers or motorhomes. Sites are so close that you can touch your neighbors on each side if you lean out your windows. Our entrance steps were just 1ft away from our neighbor's sewer. Nearly half the RVs looked like they've been there for an extended period of time and many of the neighbors smoked, which is unfortunate when the sites are so tight and the smoke comes in your windows and air vents.

I have made reservations twice with Goldfield and due to mechanical problems, twice I've had to cancel within 24hours. Both times the staff was incredibly helpful, polite and understanding. Very few businesses care about anything but money, this business is the absolute opposite. I will continue to try and use Goldfield because they care about their customers.

We stayed here for 10 nights and loved it. The amenities were plentiful, clean, and all functioning. Location is very central to Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs. Great rates. A little noise from the nearby highway (campground is located RIGHT off the highway) but any bit of white noise like music or your campers furnace will easily prevail.

Theresa in the office is bubbly and Brandon is very accomodating... Yes, the sites are pretty tight (6-10ft apart, a bit more in some spots), but it doesn't claim to be a resort. There are showers, a laundry facility, a dog-walk, and coffee in the mornings. It is practical and family-run... we like to support family-run businesses. There is WiFi (& great phone signal w/T-Mobile) and I understand that there are cable TV connections. The pull-throughs are long enough for our 32' Class C w/a towed vehicle, and our sites have been very level (we know, because our leveling gear wasn't working in 2022). The water pressure is great (we know, because our water pump wasn't working in 2022). Yes, it is on US24 and next to an auto parts store, and there is road noise, but the prices (w/AAA or GoodSam) are reasonable ($51 incl.tax&fees in 2022; high $50s in 2024), especially compared to other places here; some were over $100/night in July. We come here to visit family and to rest, so this is great!

We typically try to stay in remote places but the location of this park lured us in. We are glad it did. It’s a small park with small spaces but actually perfectly enough when you just need an overnight and a place that’s close to local attractions. We were pleasantly surprised that as close together everyone is it was super quiet. Brandon checked us in, pleasant guy and helpful. It’s not a five star resort but this park gets five stars from us because they did everything right for the park they are. We would certainly return if in the area.
