About This Campsite
Welcome to Golden Terrace South, an RV park designed to cater to travelers and long-term residents alike. While the park is no longer affiliated with Thousand Trails, it offers potential for improvement in a pleasant setting, though it currently faces several challenges.
Location and Setup:
Golden Terrace South is known for its compact RV spaces, and due to high demand, it may be difficult to secure a spot. Guests have noted the park's proximity to a neighboring trailer park, which sometimes results in a bit more foot traffic than usual.
Amenities and Management:
There have been reports of inconsistency in customer service, emphasizing the need for better management procedures. A few highlights suggest that the park can improve its services with a focused effort on staff training and revamped processes.
Tips for Visitors:
- Ensure to confirm your reservation ahead of time to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
- Be prepared for limited space and be patient as you navigate through tight spots.
- For late arrivals, it is recommended to call ahead to understand the check-in process, especially if the office might be closed by the time of your arrival.
Overall Thoughts:
Golden Terrace South holds promise for visitors who are looking for a budget-friendly lodging option, yet it's essential to manage expectations due to the current state of facilities and staffing. Development in management and site maintenance could turn it into a more welcoming and efficient camping option.

Place is a Joke. Avoid Thousand Oaks locations. Complete chaos and mismanagement.

Gave it three stars because it does have potential. The bad: 1. Spots are small and most RVs are barely still in one piece 2. Kids from neighboring trailer park wonder over and need some lessons on common courtesy, morals, and respect. 3. Jo, in the office, is absolutely horrible. Bad customer service skills and is absolutely rude. Some of the long termers have caught her stealing money and double charging them rent... Yet she still works there. Get someone in the office with some respect and the ability to treat customers like human beings. With that being said.. this place does have potential if the owner would put some work into the property, enact some procedures, and put someone in the office with basic human decency.

I would have just left after seeing the RV park, but nothing else was available nearby. The absolute worst place I have EVER stayed, and I’ve been staying in RV parks for years. Reeks of weed everywhere, and the RVs here are so trashy and close enough to you that you might not even be able to get into your spot. I didn’t even use their bathrooms. Literally disgusting. Positive reviews must be based on the mobile home section of the park. I tend to overlook negative reviews, but DON’T. You will thank me later. I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled to spare others from a ruined trip.

This place is terrible. Arrived after the office closed with no welcome packet to greet us. Someone was in our assigned spot (listed on the email which was the only way we'd know where to park) so after calling the "emergency" number the guy we spoke with (who was nice) said to just find an empty spot and take it. All the sites are crammed together and just generally trashy. Go park and Walmart and save yourself $50.
