Came here for a late morning hike on a Saturday. Stopped by the Visitors Center to pay for day access and pick-up some trail maps. We were short on time, so only did the new Aztec Caves Trail. Neither the Visitors Center or the trail were crowded. It was a quick 5 minute drive to the trailhead and we were on our way. The trail was probably a moderate level. There are times with a moderate incline with loose traction on the travel. Some of our party did need occasional breaks and help on some parts, but they all made it up and down. It was probably about 30 minutes each way. At the top, there's a nice little cave area with great views. I would recommend this trail for anyone with decent mobility.

Not a bad state park. Lots of camping space and lots of trails. The biggest drawback is there is no portable water in the park. Employees said they finished a well back in 2019 but have never had a pump installed. Water is a must if you're walking the trails in the park. Texas Parks and Wildlife should do better.

Beautiful state park, great camp sites and trails. We really enjoyed our hike at the Upper Sunset Trail, it's a moderate hike. There are some DRY RV spots available. The bathrooms we saw did not have showers, I'm sure there are some on site, but you'll need to call and check. The roads are narrow so if you have a huge RV, I would call ahead.

Great trails, lots of beautiful views. We love Mundy's gap with views of both sides of the City. Some trails are down hill from the parking area and then you turn around and find yourself having to climb back up, pay attention to how far you have walked. With all the beautiful scenery the distance can get away from you and in the summertime the heat can be overwhelming after 9am. Be prepared, bring water.

We hiked the Aztek Cave Trail. It was awesome. We went up the hard way and came down the easy way. It's $5 per person to enter the park. It's such a beautiful place. There are camping spots.
