This is one of my families most favorite places to camp, stay in cabins, swim, BBQ, kayak. It's a really seems view with water that usually warms up faster than other lakes in the summer. It's quite clear and not very rocky on the bottom. We usually wear water shoes but that is not entirely necessary. If you go there for the day and not to camp you will need to pay 10.00 or 70-80(with tax) for a year pass. Their bathrooms are clean for a campground. There are shady and sunny areas. It usually gets quite busy so you can't always count on a picnic table if you come on a weekend. I see people fish over by the boat launch area. There is a park, a volleyball area, and free life jackets to use. The water is usually shallow for quite a ways outside of the roped off swim area. There is no life guard so children will need to be watched carefully. If you come for the day make sure you are packing up to leave by dusk or security will come and ask you to leave quickly.

I can not express how much we enjoyed our stay. So much so that we are already planning our next trip. This was our grandson's first time camping, and let me tell you, he will not forget it. The playground d is nice, the cabins perfectly rustic and basic, the park is clean and maintained. The boat launch is also nice. This is a great family place to come hang out and camp. Thank you, we'll see you again at the end of Summer.

Was a little worried about parking with a $10 day pass, but the parking lot is larger than I imagined. Parking is available next to the lake with a playground and restrooms or at the boat launch. The wading area is great for kids, and no dogs are allowed. There are entry points for dogs next to the wading area, though. Would not recommend kayaking here, as the motor boats and water sports can create wakes. But a great place to relax with your dog, or cool off for a day.

Our escapade to this county park in February was a delightful surprise amid the chilly weather. Equipped with a trusty propane heater, we turned a potentially cold day into a warm and enjoyable family outing. The peaceful atmosphere set this park apart, with no other visitors in sight, allowing the kids to have an absolute blast. The county has done an excellent job maintaining the park, giving it a fresh and upgraded feel. We found plenty of tables scattered around and even discovered a beach volleyball ground for extra fun. there is a $10 fee for entry. While the restrooms were off-limits during the off-season, convenient honey bucket options near the boat launch area were a thoughtful touch. The camping areas were impressively spacious, and we couldn't help but notice the cabins designed to accommodate five people. As we plan our return to explore the cabins during the season, this park has firmly secured its place as a go-to spot for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. Five stars, without a doubt! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is now one of our favorite campgrounds. The camp sites are large for pretty good privacy. The sites have electricity and water for hook-ups . These sites are built in tall forests on a hill side. There are upper 7 a middle area, and a lower level. There is a bath house with a couple of showers.
