I came out to find a good spot for a campout and the host lady was so friendly and helpful. She even went out of her way to show me the group pavilion. I have the best spots written down ready to reserve. I love a nice camp host! This campground has lots of trees (at least compared to others on this lake!)

Wasn't sure where to go. Some areas were blocked off, and there were spikes at the exit, so I went around towards the RV area to ask how to get out. A woman who claimed she worked there aproched in a very hostile manner, claiming we were federally trespassing and being incredibly rude. I tried to explain what had happened and that I was just trying to ask where I could go she claimed "no where you are federally trespassing" I asked her to please calm down as It was an honest mistake. She said no excuse continued to be hostile and threatened that we were going to get federal trespassing tickets. Terrible employee and, if this truly, is a government run facility. I am sick knowing this is how our citizens get treated. While there was a piece of paper saying that area was for guests only nowhere was there a, no trespassing sign. If she simply and calmly would have asked us to leave, there would have been no problem. But instead she escalated and was incredibly rude. Do better.

“Park Ranger Karen” came screaming at my partner and me because we were “trespassing” like many other people, apparently from the reviews. Originally, we booked the pavilion for our kid’s birthday party at the end of July. We had been calling, and no one seemed to be present to answer the calls, so we figured we would drive by to see the site. Upon arrival, there was no one at the security gate and no “private” property signs posted. I was at the gate talking to my partner, and from the far left, coming from what appeared to be residential "homes,” came P.R. Karen was flying in her black truck with her dog, screaming at us to leave or we’d be arrested. I instructed my partner to get back in the car while I attempted to calm the woman down. She continued to scream and accuse us of breaking the law, threatening to contact the police and the “rangers” to report us for trespassing. She refused to look at our reservation for the camping site or pavilion or let us get a word in. She began taking pictures of my car and of my partner, though I asked her not to take pictures of us, and we were leaving. She claimed to have been a “ranger” herself and did not have any identification on her or her co-ranger (dog). As we were leaving, she flagged down yet another “residential ranger” and began to tell them what happened. Needless to say, we’ve canceled our reservation immediately after leaving and will not be in this neck of the woods for the foreseeable future. If this woman is in fact a "ranger,” she needs a uniform and de-escalation training, as all of this could have been avoided if she had spent more time answering the phones to arrange viewings for paying customers and learned to approach people in a more respectful manner.

This park isn't a bad place to visit but it needs lots of attention ! Way too many boaters & water crafts... made fishing off bank hard! Lots , lots of little irritating bugs! Lol Watched 2 car loads of people pull in lot right next to us (no rv). I tried to talk to toddler the man was holding they didnt understand enlish. Then I noticed as soon as they pulled in they left. And left a diaper in the spot. Rude people.
