Beautiful little campground. It’s small with only 8 spots and it’s first come, first serve so you’ll have to get there early to get a spot.

Four stars for being EXACTLY what it is supposed to be. Quiet, serene, calm. We stayed three days and enjoyed hiking in the area, Georgetown (15 min), and many campfires. My kid had a great time filling water jugs from the hand pump and exploring the woods above the camp. If you are looking for things like electricity, plumbing, or cell phone reception, this is not the place for you.

Great camping spot with a nice downed tree area just past Campsite 6 (back toward Georgetown). Buzzing is definitely mildly annoying, but once you get a crackling fire and warmth going, you're "dope" and should be "chill", ya heard? Fee is $23 per night (as of 5/28/23) in exact change and you'll find the envelopes at the entrance. Dumpsters for your trash, toilets, private areas, beautiful views, and nearby hikes. Okay toilets. Metal in the men's shifts on you as you're taking your McDookie, but otherwise no mosquitos and toilet paper is restocked on the regular, ya heard 👌✌️🤞🫰🤞🤟🫰🤞👈👆🤜🤘☝️🤟✋️✋️🫴✋️🤞👋💨💦💦 ahem... But also, stop peeing all the over the floor, BRO. Foreal??? Cars are also decently frequent, but again, crackling fire and good company drown out most noises. Secret hint if you want a good amount of fire wood without buying: Just past campsite 6, there will be a pair of wires coming from the foresty area across the road to the power station, you can either be lucky and get campsite 6 and just walk to the woody area or park under those wires that cross the road and either pull huge logs out and hack them up at camp or hack them up at the source. It's work, but it's worth a continuous, raging fire for several days. We survived 3 rains and I was walking around in a t-shirt in 40 degrees. Or be cold. Your choice. Anyways. Enjoy the pics! I love you ❤️ Also, so many weird bird noises. This place is also probably a birder's intellectual, kinky bondage dungeon, but in a family-friendly, open forest kind of way :) teeheehaheehee

Perfect secluded spot up in the Mountains. There are only 10 spots, first come first served, picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets and a water spigot. Simple spot, but that's the type of camping I enjoy. The drive up is nice with the chance of seeing big horned sheep (we didn't see any unfortunately). Take the drive up to the summit for another amazing view or use the trails to go for a hike. Theres a creek that runs along the road which offers some nice pull off spots to get out for pictures. Camp caretaker said he spotted a moose the day before in a clearing up from the campsite, but we missed out on a sighting ourselves. Overall, I loved this spot and would definitely return for some simple, in some awesome nature camping!

Fun little campground near Denver! It is within a quarter mile of a hydro station so you can hear the buzz of the electricity the whole time. The road is decently busy too. The campsites are all pretty private and spread out which is nice though!
