Wonderful State Park! Absolutely immaculate! They must have a team of people working the sites as campers move out. The campers we’ve seen leave are still within sight and the Park employees are cleaning the fire pit, raking the gravel, blowing off the concrete pad and then hosing it off!! Unreal! The dog park is second to none ~ 100 acres of off-leash park! There is a $3 fee/day for the dog park (which runs from 5am-10pm and 5am to noon the following day). They also have a dog agility course which is very cool. The dog park is WELL worth it. The bathrooms are modern & clean. Full disclosure ~ showers are $1.50/5 minutes. I usually use the shower in our camper but occasionally it’s nice to have a 5 min shower with more space!! The sites are spacious too. You won’t be sorry if you visit this Park!

8/25 Update. Went again this weekend and the new pavilion by the swim beach was open and functional. This place has so much to offer. Lots of trails. Lots to do on the water. The picnic areas are all super convenient. Bring some chairs and park yourself on the beach for a few hours. You won’t regret it.

Cherry Creek State Park is absolutely stunning! The scenery is breathtaking with beautiful landscapes, serene lakes, and lush greenery. It's the perfect place for a relaxing day out in nature. Whether you're hiking, biking, or just enjoying a picnic, the views are incredible. Highly recommend visiting for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some peaceful, natural beauty.

This park is huge, and fabulous. I think it is made for anyone. There are bike trails, walk trails, drive trails, and more hike type trails... but most of all it has a dam and a lake! There is a swim area. It's large enough for lots of boats everywhere. Our dog enjoyed being out there, but only at a distance. We got to see wild animals (ducks, and geese, and a frog)! There were sidewalks at this beach part, and it was super easy to picnick at the nice tables around the beach. Also, there are camping and RV spots I recall... Can't wait to return!

Feels great to recreate! Cherry Creek State Park is full of walking, driving, biking paths. You need a sticker to drive a car in, but it costs only about $3. I've visited a few different spots within, and it's great to enjoy sweeping views of the mountains while visiting. Many benches located throughout, great for viewing wildlife like ducks, birds, geese, and a random buck or two here and there. It's a well used area but you can still manage to find a trail that can make you feel lost. .
