We love this state park, it has something for everyone and lots of accessibility. Bring your discovery pass, and don’t be shocked you actually do park your car and walk in to the ranger station on arrival. Bathrooms are always clean and the trails are not too long but plenty of ups and downs to hold your interest. The Dead Man’s Cove is open again and they’ve improved the signage on the trails. Look for the eagles nesting to the right as you look at the ocean from the interpretive center. Lots of great campsites, cabins, and yurts.

Lovely campground with large spaces for you to spread out without feeling like you are imposing on another camper's space. Park Rangers are very visible to maintain park rules. We were on loop A and it was about a 2 minute walk to see the ocean. Bathrooms were well maintained. We enjoyed driving around to all the sights. There are many short hikes throughout the park. We didn't do any this time, but have in the past.

Awesome views. Great walking paths. Can be a little tricky to find parking and you better pay the park fee or you’ll likely get a ticket. If you do it’s no big deal, as the park district allows you to pay the fee with the ticket and they waive the ticket. Enjoyed the lighthouse and Deadman’s Cove. Great day trip.

We stayed in a yurt. It was raining for a lot of our visit and we stayed dry. The lighthouse was fun to visit. We really enjoyed the short walk to the beach to play in the sand and watch the sunset. We managed to spot one of the infamous raccoons a couple of times.

Beautiful park on the ocean shore with a lot of possibilities: beaches, hiking trails, campgrounds, historic places, beautiful places for photos. You can see many sea lions if you go for a walk on North Jetty. Overall -very memorable experience!
