The park is great but I want to call the attention of the park for the loose wires that covers the trees and are dangerous for kids. Please check this and fix it.

The park service has archery for Vets. The park is great for that.

Very interesting place with a unique history. A place for kids camps with a public playground for the kiddos. Not much in the way of hiking trails

They playground itself is amazing! It has plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. Everything was clean and well taken-care of. A big con for me personally was the amount of raccoons we saw as we were walking in. At first I didn’t think much of it, but as we sat down to eat they continued to approach us. There also was no bathroom available, making it a very uncomfortable situation for my 4 year old. There isn’t a lot of parking available, which is a double edged sword, as it wasn’t crowded and the kids were able to use all the equipment!

My rating is based on my experience with the summer camp and office staff. I’ve been calling since December 2023 to get my child into the camp. They give me the run around and never return my calls. They’ve had me on a wait list for months with no follow up even as a courtesy. The people in office are always in a “training” and don’t return my calls. I am escalating my issue to Miami Dade offices.
