A great break from city life, only about a hour from home! The trails around the campground are gorgeous, great for biking or walking. Ravines, meadows, lake views, hills. The kids liked the lake for fishing and kayaking. Sites are small and close together, and there’s no shade, so we were glad to have an awning. Clean bathrooms, well maintained, and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place for tent camping, RV or rent a cabin. The place is amazing, the lake is beautiful, big and plenty of fish in it. They have bike trail or if you just want to walk….well it’s perfect I have staid in a cabin over night it was a good and peaceful sleep. The campsite has bathrooms with shower, easy accessible for people with special needs. Overall, I will be back. Thank you!

Sites by lake only have 110v/20amp!!!! I accidentally booked site 12 w an RV after searching for 30amp. The staff was able to switch us for the first 2 nights and told my husband we’d have to switch for the 3rd night. After the 2nd night we were told there wasn’t a reservation for the 3rd night. Lake and hiking trails are beautiful. Bathrooms look like they never mop or scrub the sinks. My kids refused to use them even w flip flops on. Not many options this close to Chicago, just know what you are choosing. An employee sits in the office overnight. This place could be amazing if it was taken care of.

This place has always been one of my favorite spots but I just had a really disturbing experience. I was sound asleep and some guy was knocking on my camper door and window at 6:55am because my 2 back tires were on the grass in the parking spot, it’s not actually grass it’s weeds. I called the office and they said they can come and wake you up at all hours if they feel u have broken any rules, as a woman I felt very uncomfortable because I’m alone in the dark being woken up abruptly for my tire being on weeds?!? The space is unfortunately small to fit my vehicle, but I did move it, but ladies if you are staying there I highly suggest keeping your guard up it really was a weird situation that made me feel uncomfortable and unfortunately the staff thought it was nothing and discredited my concerns.

On top of a great location and great facilities, we had a super service! Management really went the extra miles to make sure that I got back an expensive item that I had forgotten at the camp site. They were very patient and courteous. This is really good customer service👌🙏
