My wife and I stayed at Buddy's Backyard for 7 nights in mid-September, and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and well thought out layout of the RV park. The dog park was very spacious, and our dog enjoyed being able to run freely within the confines of the dog park. Patrons of the RV park were considerate of the facilities and other dog owners and picked up after their dogs. The only complaints were that the RV pad was not level, and we had to add leveling blocks to the curbside wheels. Also, the outside restroom ran out of toilet paper one morning when I went to use it. If my wife and I ever return to the Austin area, we would love to stay at Buddy's again, and we recommend the RV park to anyone visiting the Austin vicinity. The Park offers a great view of the hill country from the east side of the RV park and is located in a very quiet and peaceful area, outside of the city.

We stayed at Buddy's Backyard RV Resort Sept. 13-17 and truly enjoyed our stay. At check in we were told we had the best spot with the best views and it was. My wife and her friend enjoyed the pool. The bathrooms/showers were extremely clean. We will stay again. Don't forget to say hi to Junior, the campground's cat.

I have to give this place a 3. The folks working there are very nice, but seem short staffed. I specifically asked about the hot tub and pool before booking and was assured by the owner they were both in working order and open year round. The hot tub was not working properly almost the the entire 5 week stay. The first issue was resolved, supposedly the heater and then it was the relay. Sometimes the staff would turn it on manually, but then you would have to wait for it to warm up. Even if it was working properly, as you can see from the photos, you would still need to wait for it to warm up with the way you need to push the button to turn the heater on. I only saw the pool vacuumed once during my stay and you can see from photos it really needed it. The chemicals were right though, no algae. The playset while nice, seemed old and would sway quite a bit when my 80 pound 9 year old would swing. Additionally the rubber mulch chip was no where near deep enough-it was barely a covering, less than an inch. The dog parks are huge and very nice. The trash cans for dog poo were rarely emptied. They don't have good trash management. When the wind blows the trash blows everywhere. Twice my husband went around cleaning up blowing trash. The park is large and quiet. Most of the spaces are a nice size. The laundry room was nice and clean. The game room was nice and open all hours. The place was on the pricier side, more than some of the competitors but I thought the pool, hot tub and dog park would be worth it. Overall decent, but could use more help to keep up on maintenance and should prioritize fixing services that are promised. Another concern I have that makes me hesitant is we stayed monthly and were charged for electricity. There was no advanced notice of when it was due, it was simply charged to my account. I had to ask staff what the fee was for. I was never provided a statement of account and there are multiple charges that I was not clear on. Statements to your customers outlining clear charges would be helpful, for example x amount of electricity at $ per kw, or x gallons of propane at $ per gallon.

What a great RV park. Very clean, well kept….you can tell that the people that work there take great pride in their facility. We had the best site in the park #75. Game room, showers, laundry room all so clean. Will definitely stay here again.

Buddy's Backyard was great! It was my family's first trip with our new camper. The original spot I reserved was difficult for me to back my rv into and they let me switch to a pull through site and it was very helpful. My kids loved the pool and barn area with the pool table and shuffle board. We will definitely be going back.
