Recommend reading the reviews before you stay to know what to expect. There's a train yard and a long gravel path full of bikers and joggers on your way in. There is also a launch and they run tubing when river levels are high enough in season. You will hear trains, and it gets busy near the boat launch as well as the pavilion. That being said, the campground was clean, the staff was EXTREMELY friendly, and the spots along the water are gorgeous. Unfortunately water levels were too low on the Patomic during our stay, but we were still able to drive over and tube the Shenandoah. 15 minutes to Harper's Ferry, get there early for parking. We look forward to coming back, next time with friends!

The tent sites are very close to each other, maybe 50-100 feet. You’ll be listening to your neighbors all night. There’s also a massive rail facility maybe 200 yards away across the road. Look at the satellite view. The trains are very loud all the time. This is not the place to come to enjoy peace and quit, but it’s good if you want a public place to let your kids run around.

This camping trip was rough to say the least… maybe we should have done some more research before booking, but this was definitely not what I was expecting. I understand it’s a holiday weekend, so it was likely more busy than usual however we were surrounded by tents. You have no privacy at all, kids running around, babies crying and you can only get into the water from a small driveway type entrance. We ended up staying for one night and leaving early this morning because it was almost unbearable. I 100% do not recommend this place for couples looking for a small getaway or if you enjoy your peace while camping. Won’t be coming back and I suggest you check out other places first before booking here.

Spent a Monday and Tuesday night here in mid May. Not being from the area I arrived early to the campground. I was told if I wanted to check in an hour and a half early it was going to be an extra $25 and there was nowhere to wait at the campground so we had to drive back to the train station parking. There was no one in my camping spot but nonetheless no arriving early. We stayed in B loop which was probably one of the nicest. The bathrooms were OK not the best. It seems that there are several families living in the campground. A lot of children who are unattended. Choose loop B or C to camp in. You have a nice grassy area under some big trees. The fact that it’s near the train station didn’t really seem to be an issue if you’re in your camper with your windows closed and your air on. The best part about the campground is that it’s on the river and also on the C& O tow path.

Great location on the banks of the Potomac River. This is a well maintained campground (JB keeps the property well manicured) that offers tubing, rafting, kayaking, and sewage pump-out on site. Every staff member that i interacted with was extremely proficient at customer service and care. The camp hosts were gracious and accommodating (thank you Keith & Loretta!). PLEASE BE ADVISED!!!! If you are sensitive to loud noises at night, you will be rest broken. There are loud, crashing, gravel dumping-like sounds throughout the day and night. Lots of freight and commuter rail traffic. Great local brewery and the charming town of Brunswick nearby. Everett has a great hot dog stand outside the entrance to the cigar lounge. Give him a try please.
